The Summer Ball was set up in 2013 to rasie funds for Barnardo's in the North East. After much consideration we decided that the SECOS project was the one for us and so we began... The event is organised by three friends; Nina Fryer, Catherine Marshall and David Conway.  As parents to young children themselves, Nina, Catherine and David are keen to raise awareness of the remarkable work that Barnardo's SECOS provides.  They feel passionate about helping children and young people in need and hope to increase funds for a local Barnardo's Foundation.

 

In 2013 after only 5 short months of planning, the Ball took place on August 16th at Gisborough Hall, hosted 150 guests and raise £9,000 for SECOS. 



2014 saw Summer Ball reach new heights and 230 guest made the event a sell out! The total amount raised on the night was in excess of £15,500

In 2015 we raised £10,500, taking us to a total of £35,000 in 3 short years!

 

Our 2016 date is to be confirmed very soon...

 

We are delighted to confirm that the Vice President of Barnardo’s, Mr Philip Taylor and SECOS project leader, Wendy Shepherd will be joining us for the fourth year.
